When a crisis occurs, a rapid and empathic response is required. Dr. Armstrong will come to the workplace, meet with the employees and help them to deal with the feelings that arise in response to a workplace trauma. The intervention is designed to build on existing strengths, and mitigate any long lasting detrimental impact on your employees. This service ranges from 2 hrs to a day, depending on the circumstances, number of employees, etc...
Clinical Practice
Dr. Armstrong has an intimate knowledge of the legal process and the stress of litigation. She is available to provide counseling in order to support your clients throughout particularly stressful cases. This may be of particular benefit when a client is disorganized, impulsive or for other reasons needs support and containment.
Dr. Armstrong is also available for media, entertainment, workshop or panel representation on topics related to psychology issues (sexual harassment, crisis in the workplace, unexplained or unusual behavior, or basic or specific topic lectures in psychology, depending on the needs or interest of the audience). National services are available, and International consultation will be considered if indicated.
Other Services
Dr. Armstrong will consider national and international consultations, and will obtain necessary reciprocal licensure. She is also available for media, entertainment or panel representation on topics related to psychology issues (sexual harassment, unexplained or unusual behavior, or basic or specific topic lectures in psychology, depending on the needs or interest of the audience). Consultation for trial preparation of witnesses is available.
Dr. Armstrong has consulted with probation staff and offers the required Cognitive Behavioral Training seminar "Changing Offender Behavior" to probation agencies around the state. She has also developed a module for "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" seminars, another state requirement for businesses of 50 or more employees.
